We are all tent bound. The Beaver float plane that was to pick us up is now overdue. We are out of food. Tony, Sharon and Mark are in one tent. Dave, Craig and I are in another tent. The weather is filthy. We all listen for the drone of an airplane in the deep silence of the Brooks Range.

My dreams are exceptionally long and vivid now. I suspect this is because we are sleeping as much as possible to save calories and pass the time. Today’s journal entry was a long description of my dreams.

As I recall Dave, Craig and I endured all this tent time remarkably well.

I'm a graphic artist in the movie business. When I was a kid I got interested in astronomy. When it would get too cloudy to observe the heavens, my buddy and I would sit at the VFO of his Hallicrafters S 38c like safe crackers trying to coax faraway signals out of that humble radio. My love of astronomy and radio survive to this day fifty+ years later.
